The International Medieval Congress (IMC) in Leeds was once again on the agenda for 2024. Part of the group travelled directly from the conference of the International Society for Theological Medieval Studies (IGTM), where they presented part of the project’s research in a joint session (read more here). Although most of our members did attend the IMC in Leeds, we did not present together as a research group; rather, we gave separate presentations in various sessions on topics related to other projects.
Still, the international conference provided an excellent opportunity to meet new people and catch up with old colleagues. The annual reception organised by the Mediävistenverband, through which our project received an early career grant, and the meeting with colleagues from the new European network “Participation through Prayer in Late Medieval and Early Modern World” (PRAYTICIPATION) deserve special mention in this regard.
